Valentime's Day

I love it when people say Happy Valentime's Day. One of my students was hilarious, he was leaving for the day and gave me a big hug, then said, "Happy Valentime's Day Missus Grimes. Ho, ho, ho!" I guess Cupid and Santa are one in the same to him.

ANYWAY, Joe and I had a great Valentime's Day together. He's been working a lot lately and with school starting this week (yes, I'm back in classes), we decided to go to Palm Springs for the night. We had a great dinner at Matchbox, where Joe requested the coolest table in the world. It was its own tiny balcony and overlooked "The Strip." The next day we drove up to Joshua Tree and messed around up there. We were gone a little over 24 hours, but it was fantastic fun!!! Oh and the whole way there, we just saw mountains and mountains covered with snow. I love southern CA, beach, desert, mountains, all of it!!!

Disney!!!!!

Joe and I went to Disneyland for the weekend. It was fantastic. It rained Saturday morning and it must've scared people away, because we walked onto every line...

This weekend marked our 4th Anniversary. We had a lot of fun, out for lunch, roaming around, cooking, eating...the usual. Here are a few pics from way back when.

Messing Around in January

I'm back at work and having fun. Classes are still out for a little bit longer, yeah! Joe just got assigned to Marmaduke and he's enjoying the team he's working with. The cats, well, they're just being their normal trouble-making selves. Today Joe and I took a bus down to Westwood, had lunch and visited an awesome booksotre in the midst of a great urban sunset.

New Camera!

I got a new camera! Now I'm having fun playing with all the settings, just learning how the dang thing works. Also got some books to teach myself Photoshop (photo editing) and Lightroom (photo organizing). I'm able to photograph the girls like never before! : )
