Christmas Road Trip...

We're up in Shell Beach for Christmas Eve and Christmas! Ho ho ho!! Merry Christmas!!! (The moon over the Pacific & Joe in Gaviota).

It's that time of year again!!! Poor Bridgette was less enthusiastic than last year. But Una was high stepping. Oh and some stockings for my students! Fun.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was great. I didn't do any homework til Sunday afternoon (though I was in the dark room printing Wednesday night, crazy!). Joe was off all four days and we had fun. Joe cooked a great turkey, I got my hair cut and we did tons of laundry. We did some hiking and visited the Getty. The fall colors are definitely out!

Disneyland!

Joe and I got free passes to attend a screening of Disney's newest movie, The Princess and the Frog PLUS free tickets to Disneyland. It was really fun! It was my first time to Disneyland and it was all festive and decked for Christmas.

Bread and futons...

I guess Una approves of the new futon. Lotta love for IKEA. Also, here's a shot of my most recent studio assignment - bread. This was taken with digital of course and the real images are 4x5 inches of black and white film that I develop in my bathroom. Crazy I know.

Studying and cereal boxes...

Time has recently been dominated by studying, since midterms are here and things seem to be piling up. Here's what the house has been looking like lately. Oh and here's a shot of a cereal box I'm learning how to photograph in the studio with studio lights.

Central Coast for 24 hours...

Joe's been working fiendishly but I have Monday off this week, so I decided to head up to the Central Coast to visit with Dena and Dick for the day. Of course I had to hike up Bishops Peak in San Luis Obispo. I was there right at sunset. It was really nice.

Once again...the Getty!!!

Joe's been working crazy hours. Here's a picture of our apartment (bottom level) where he sleeps a few hours each day...What's a girl to do but take a nudes workshop (the chair we used for some poses, lit beautifully) and go to the Getty.

It's been busy recently but we've been keeping it cool by going to the Getty and enjoying simple things like flowers! Here are 2 film shots that I scanned into digital images. Fun!

Fires and Ferris...

The fires around have taken up headlines. It was interesting to wake up to the sky having a red-color to it...and to see the smoke from so far away. Happily. we got to go to the movies one night to see Ferris Bueller's Day Off. It was in Hollywood Forever Cemetery. FUN!

LA in the Summer

I've been slacking on the blog, but those days are gone! Here's some of the recent sights and doings in our world. We saw The FLaming Lips, are continuously lovin our girls and had a friend from Cincy visit. That's Ms. Emily standing in front of the biggest fire LA County's seen in recorded history. Actually looks pretty - is that bad?
